2 days Combat event of 4th District Ramban Taekwondo Championships

A spectacular two days Combat event of 4th District Ramban Taekwondo Championships 2023-24 was held at Hotel Maple (Tourist Hostel) . The event was organized by District Ramban Taekwondo Association under the aegis of J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd.)

Different Zones, Academies and Schools across the Ramban District participated in the said championship. All the Gold medalists from the said event are selected for the forthcoming  UT Championship-2023. The first day of the event witnessed a massive show of combative skills and was attended by Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed (Tehsildar Banihal) as Chief Guest accompanied by  the Mr. Taskeen Wani (Senior Journalist) & Mr. Muzaffar Ahmed Wani (Headmaster GUPS Darpura) as Guest of honour. 

Speaking on the occasion of opening ceremony Tehsildar Banihal and Mr. Taskeen Wani praised the efforts of District Ramban Taekwondo Association and said involving students in sports and organising c'ship like this is very appreciable step for promoting sports culture in area .

The event was designed and proposed by Mr Naeem Masroor (Technical Director, TADR) along with the technical committee of District Ramban Taekwondo Association under the supervision of Mr. Sohib Masroor (President, District Ramban Taekwondo Association). Mr Mohsin Rafiq Wani was the Organising Secretary,  while as Mr Arvind Satti (Khelo India Centre, Gool, Coach), Yasir Hamid , Mohammad Abdullah and Faazil Ahmed were tournament referee officials.

More than 60 players from different  schools, clubs and Academies participated and tested their metals while playing in the said championship. The craze in young buds was completely phenomenal.

On the said occasion of closing ceremony Capt. Lokesh Singh Rathor (12 RR) was
Chief guest, while as Ab. Rashid Giri (Principal Boys HSS Banihal) & Mr. Saidullah Mir (ZPEO Banihal) declared as Guest of honor.

Capt. Lokesh Singh Rathor (12 RR) , Mr. Ab Rashid Giri & Mr. Saidullah Mir while felicitating the medalists congratulated all the athletes for winning medals and District Ramban Taekwondo Association for organizing the 4th District Ramban Taekwondo Championship-2023.

The closing note was delivered by Mr. Sohib Masroor (President, Ramban  Taekwondo Association) under the slogan "Say No To Drugs" " Yes to Taekwondo " . He assured proper support to all the medalists for the UT Championships and He also praised Secretary Sports Council Ms Nuzhal Gul for his utmost efforts to shape the new sports era of J&K.
