Doda, November 09; Continuing its efforts to resolve the public grievances at their doorsteps, and reach out to the last man in the last row, District Administration held weekly Block Diwas across the district at five different locations under the overall supervision of 
Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan. 

ADDC Doda Pran Singh presided over the Block Diwas program at HSS Gundna, Malwana West of Gundna Tehsil along with other district officers. Chairman Block Development Council Gundna Sarshad Natnoo, PRIs of the area and the public attended the program. The PRIs and public of the area  put forth several demands which include; Staff, tiles and additional accomodation for HSS Gundna, Rectification of Kuhulgwar to Gundna road via Wani pura under NABARD. The ADDC has directed PWD and PMGSY to expedite  the execution of works so that the approved projects be dedicated to the public with in shortest possible time. On the construction of PHC building Tantna, which has been started in 2008 and is still incomplete. The Health Department has been directed to submit the detailed report. 
ADDC also directed for early completion of all the projects approved under various schemes in block within the given time frame. ADDC has issued instructions to the concerned authorities to keep their men and machinery ready to make available all essential utilities to public during the winter.
ADDC also interacted with students of HSS and  awared them regarding Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan, 
Swachta campaign and  
Plastic free Panchyat Abhiyaan.

ADC Bhadarwah attended the Block Diwas meeting at Rewara panchayat of Tehsil Bhalla, while SDMs remained present at their already located places to address the public grievances. At other designated locations, the day long Block Diwas proceedings were witnessed. Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues/ demands. They demanded augmentation of water supply and electricity, macadamization of roads, meeting dearth of staff in schools and hospitals, upgradation of schools, banking facilities in rural areas, release of pending wages under MGNREGA etc.
The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave patient  hearing to the issues and demands and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest.
