DC Doda reviews status of Routine Immunization of the District
Doda, Oct 31: To take the appraisal of the activities run by the health department and to review the status of Routine Immunization of the District, the Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh Vishesh Paul Mahajan conveyed a meeting here at DC Office Doda.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer Doda Dr M Y Mir, Dy CMO Doda Dr Om Kumar, DIO Dr Versha Sharma, Block Medical Officers (All) and concerned dealing Immunization at Block Level.
At the outset of the meeting, DC Doda took a detailed review of the latest status of the Routine Immunization and achievement thereof, category wise vaccination in the District and block level as well.
The CMO Doda Dr M Y Mir gave a detailed presentation about the component wise achievement of Routine Immunization besides the Dy CMO Doda and DIO Doda also briefed the chair about the block wise status and action taken by the department to cover all the drop out children's falling at different age group.
The Deputy Commissioner Doda after reviewing the status, enjoined upon the CMO Doda and all concerned to work cordially in making the Routine Immunization programme successful in the District, adding that focus should be laid to ensure that no children in any area should goes unvaccinated against the routine immunization.
The DC Doda, directed all the stakeholders and those present in the meeting to make coordinate efforts by conducting special immunization sessions in the drop out areas, so as to cover all the drop out childrens in a time bound manner and set one month time duration to complete the desired task in the District.
Further DC Doda Sh Vishesh Mahajan said that delivery of quality healthcare to the last mile has been accorded one of the highest priorities and the health department in the district has to ensure that anybody in need of medical services is catered to in time. He said that special focus must be laid on providing health services in far flung/ remote areas of the district, by providing better patient care to the people at their door steps.
