DODA POLICE ARRESTED (03) BOVINE SMUGGLERS, RESCUED (11) BOVINE ANIMALS AND SEIZED (01) VEHICLE. 

            
 In a statement issued by Doda Police it was told that a Police Party of Police Post Pul-Doda led by PSI, Anil Manhas laid a special Naka at Neeru Brdige Pul-Doda and intercepted (01) vehicle (Truck) bearing registration No. JK06B/2215 which was being driven by Shabir Ahmed S/O Gh. Qadir Lawer R/O Bharat A/P Nalwa Doda.

While conducting checking, (11) Bovine animals were found loaded in the vehicles and (02) other persons involved in bovine smuggling namely (1)-Irshad Ahmed S/O Ab. Rashid R/O Chiralla (2)-Gh. Mohd S/O Gh. Rasool Bhatt R/O Gundna Doda were found accompanied with the vehicle who were arrested. The Bovine animals were rescued and in this connection, case FIR No. 224/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Doda against (03) accused persons and the investigation of the case is going on. 

            It is pertinent to mention here that Doda Police under operation KAMDHENU has intensified patrolling, strengthened Nakas on highway and other routes at strategic places to nab Bovine smugglers. During the current year (429) bovine animals have been rescued (32) FIRs have been registered against (81) bovine smugglers besides detention of (03) notorious bovine smugglers under Provision of Public Safety Act.
