Delay in Pipeline Installation on Cherakot Lolab Link Road Causes Hardships for School Children and Locals

Kupwara:March/11/: Residents have expressed serious concern over the delay in the installation of a pipeline on Cherakot Lolab Link Road in Kupwara district. According to locals, the issue had earlier been brought to the notice of the concerned officials.At that time, assurances were given that the pipeline would be installed within a few months. However, nearly one and a half years have passed and the pipeline has still not been installed.
Residents said that neither the concerned officer nor any employee from the department has visited the site to inspect the situation so far. Due to this delay, school children are facing serious difficulties while passing through the area, and the local residents are also suffering because of the unresolved issue.
The locals have appealed to the authorities to look into the matter and ensure that the pipeline is installed at the earliest to ease the hardships faced by the public.
