Free Medical Camp Held in Lolab Under “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan

 

Lolab (Kupwara): A free medical camp was organized today at Gund Machhar in Lolab under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan” campaign. The camp was jointly arranged by the district administration, the Indian Army, and Quality Healthcare.

 

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Shrikant Suse, attended as the chief guest. He was accompanied by Managing Director of Quality Healthcare, Dr. Abdul Majeed, the Commanding Officer of the Army, Abhikesh, EPS officer Vikas Gupta, civil society members of Lolab, political leader Abdul Rahim Wani, and a large number of local residents. Abdul Rahim Wani expressed gratitude to the district administration, Army, police, and especially Dr. Abdul Majeed Wani for organizing the free medical camp in such a remote and underdeveloped area.

 

During the event, speakers emphasized the importance of raising public awareness about drug abuse and stressed that collective efforts are necessary to tackle this serious issue. The Deputy Commissioner stated that special treatment centers have been established for individuals affected by drug addiction and urged people to admit such patients to these facilities to save lives. He further warned that strict action would be taken against those involved in drug trafficking, and no one would be spared.

 

During the camp, patients were provided free medical consultations and medicines were distributed at no cost.

 

A large number of officials from the civil administration, police, Indian Army, and other security forces were present at the event. On this occasion, under the “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan,” people also pledged to support the administration and police in eliminating drug abuse and to play their role in building a drug-free society.
