In a moment heavy with pride and emotion, socio-political activist Umar Ashraf, fondly known as Salim Ashraf, extended heartfelt congratulations to Hanan Nazir of Kulangam, Handwara, whose journey has turned a humble dream into history.

From the quiet corners of Kupwara, where dreams often struggle for space, Hanan Nazir has risen as a symbol of hope—becoming the first boy from the district to represent Jammu & Kashmir in the Under-14 National School Hockey Championship in Madhya Pradesh. His achievement is not just a win on the field, but a victory of faith, patience, and relentless hard work.

Umar Ashraf said that Hanan’s success is a reminder that greatness is born not from privilege, but from perseverance. Each step Hanan takes on the national ground carries the prayers of Kulangam, the pride of Handwara, and the dreams of Kupwara’s youth.

“This is more than a medal or a match,” Umar Ashraf remarked. “It is the sound of hope echoing from our valleys.”
As Hanan marches forward, he carries with him the heartbeat of his people.

Keep shining, young star. Your light has reached far beyond home.
