KULGAM POLICE ARRESTED ANOTHER DRUG PEDDLER AND RECOVERED CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE

In its continous efforts to curb the menace of drugs in district Kulgam, Kulgam Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
 
On a routine Naka which was established by the police party of PC Nillow at *Main Chowk Nillow*. During Naka checking one person namely; *Abdul Rashid Dar S/O Ghulam Nabi Dar R/O Nillow* carrying a bag was signalled to stop who on seeing the police party attempted to flee from the spot but was chased and apprehended tactfully. During checking of the bag he was carrying *Poppy straw* weighing *4.2 KG* was recovered. 

Regarding the incident, Case *FIR No. 25/2023 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act* stands registered in *Police station Kulgam* and investigation is in progress.

General public is requested to come forward with any such information regarding drug peddling or any other anti social activity in their neighbourhood so that timely action will be taken against the culprits.
