The war against drugs continue in Kulgam, Police has arrested one more Drug Peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession

Kulgam Police while continuing its efforts against the drug menace and its back to back actions against such peddlers are being taken out in the district with the aim of eradicating the drug menace from the society.

In this regard During Naka checking at *Parigam crossing* the police party led by *SHO Behibagh* noticed one suspicious person namely; *Javid Ahmad Bhat S/O Mohammad Akbar Bhat R/O Arwani* who was carrying a gunny bag and intercepted him subsequently. After checking, officers present was able to recover *13 Bottles of Codeine phosphate* like contraband substance *(100 ml each)* from his possession. 

Regarding the incident, case FIR No. 22/2023 U/S 8/21 of NDPS Act stands registered at *Police Station Behibagh* and investigation has been taken up.

Community members are requested to extend full cooperation to police and to share the information regarding anti social activity in their neighbourhood with nearby police unit so that timely action against the culprits will be taken.
