Kupwaraโs Far-Flung Villages Witness Lifeline Medical Camp by Quality Health Care
Kupwara, August 30 2025
In a remarkable initiative to extend healthcare facilities to underserved communities, the Indian Army in collaboration with Quality Health Care and Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara organized a Free Medical Camp in remote areas of trathpora handwara Kupwara district.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming response as more than 1,000 patients from far-flung villages availed medical consultation, diagnostic services, and free medicines. Specialists from multiple disciplines, including general medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, and orthopedics, provided on-the-spot treatment and guidance to the patients.
This joint effort not only addressed immediate health concerns of the people but also spread awareness regarding hygiene, preventive care, and the importance of timely medical attention. Locals appreciated the initiative, terming it a lifeline for the region where access to advanced healthcare facilities is often limited.
The Indian Army and partnering institutions reaffirmed their commitment to continue such outreach programs in order to strengthen the health sector in border and rural areas of North Kashmir.
