MLA Lolab Qaiser Jamsheed Lone Visits Himli, Warnow Following Deadly Cloudburst; Reviews Damage and Relief Measures

MLA Lolab Qaiser Jamsheed Lone on Tuesday visited the cloudburst-hit areas of Himli and Warnow in Lolab, where a devastating cloudburst on the previous day claimed the life of one woman and caused extensive damage to roads, agricultural land, orchards and other public infrastructure.

During the visit, the MLA conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the affected areas, interacted with local residents and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. He assured the affected people that every possible assistance would be extended and that their concerns would be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority.

The MLA was accompanied by officials from the R&B Department, Horticulture Department, Agriculture Department and other line departments, who assessed the damage and reviewed the restoration requirements.

Also accompanying the MLA were Bilal Ahmad Dar, Vice President, Youth National Conference, District Kupwara, along with senior workers of the National Conference.

Qaiser Jamsheed Lone directed the concerned departments to expedite the damage assessment, restore damaged infrastructure at the earliest and ensure that relief and compensation are provided to the affected families in accordance with government norms. He reaffirmed his commitment to standing with the people during this difficult time and ensuring swift rehabilitation of the affected areas.
