POLICE COMMEMORATION DAY” OBSERVED AT DPL DODA

"POLICE COMMEMORATION DAY” OBSERVED AT DPL DODA; SSP AND DC DODA PAID FLORAL TRIBUTES TO BRAVE MARTYRS.     

 National Police commemoration Day was observed at DPL Doda which every year on 21st of October is observed as a mark of respect and tribute to those Martyrs who have made their supreme sacrifices for the integrity and sovereignty of  the nation.
 
SSP Doda, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, read out the names of Martyrs to remember their sacrifices and a rich homage was paid to those Martyrs who have made their supreme sacrifices for the peace and prosperity of the nation. While speaking on this occasion, SSP Doda advised the officers and Jawans to incite the spirit of nationalism and contribute with great dedication and enthusiasm for the dignity and development of the nation. 

     The Commemoration Parade was comprised of various components of Police and CAPF viz District Police Doda, IR-5th Bn Doda, CISF-581 and SSB-7th Bn and the parade was commanded by Sh. Shoket Ali, Dy.SP DAR Doda who performed as parade commander on this occasion. A large number of officers both from Police and Civil Administration, prominent persons, PRI functionaries also graced the occasion by participating in the wreath lying ceremony and by paying tribute to the brave martyrs.  Besides this, the family members of various police martyrs of District Doda were special invitees and they also paid tribute to the Brave Martyrs.
            
   An interaction session was also held by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Shri Vishesh Paul Mahajan and SSP Doda alongwith Addl. SP Hqrs Doda,  Sh. Master Popsy and DySP DAR Doda with the families of Martyrs  to know about  their  well-being and grievances.

   Among the other prominent dignitaries, Shri, Ved Parkash, President MC Doda, Shri, Sanjeev Khajuria CO-IR-5th Bn Doda, Shri, Mohd Aftab Mir, Addl. SP Bhaderwah and officers of Civil Departments /District Police Doda / CAPF were also present at the function.
