GST Suvidha Kendra established at State Taxes Office Doda

Doda, September 29: 
To help taxpayer with GST compliance including GST registration and GST return filing, Commissioner StateTaxes Dr. Rashmi Singh along with Additional Commissioner State Taxes Ms. Nitu Gupta & Deputy Commisioner Doda Mr. Vishesh Pal Mahajan inaugurated the *GST Suvida Kendra* (GST Facilitation Centre ) at State Taxes Office Doda.Taxpayers requiring any assistance with GST can approach this GST Facilitation Centre for free assistance.

This facilitation centre will provide a help-desk & support system to general public by creating an environment conducive to learnings related to issues related to GST and recent  amendments. Any taxpayer can approach this GST Facilitation Centre on any Monday & Thursday for any assistance with respect to GST, free of cost. More & more such facilitation centres will be established in the future at other areas also to help the taxpayers in all possible ways. 

Commisioner State Taxes Dr. Rashmi Singh along with Additional Commissioner State Taxes Ms.Nitu Gupta interacted with the Traders & Contractors of district Doda, Kishtwar & Ramban and addressed their issues.The meeting was attended by Mr. Anil Kumar Chandail DC Enforcement North Udhampur, Mr. Bal Krishan DC State Taxes Judicial, Ms. Namrita Dogra DC Recovery along with concerned state taxes officers. 

Mr. Waseem Raja, Assistant Commisioner Technical awared the traders & contractors present  with GST & recent amendments through power point presentation. It was also decided in order to reach the general public, officer/officials  from State Taxes Department will also attend the District's Block diwas programmes to increase the outreach and awareness among people regarding GST. Representatives from traders & contractors  appreciated the initiatives of State Taxes Department for reaching out to them & providing a help-desk to address their concerns.
