Chenab White Water Rafting Festival’ under B2V4 as Rural Adventure Sports starts at Shibnote

  *Around 200 participated in the rafting under safety protocols*
 
Doda, October 27:
To promote the rural adventure toursim in the district, under Back to village phase-4, the district administration under the overall guidance and directions  of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan in coordination with JK Adventure Group and Extreme Adventure Group today started the second White Water Rafting festival in the river Chenab at Premnagar's Shibnote area. The first day of the festival witnessed great enthusiasm and  overwhelming response from the people of Doda.
 
More than 1000 people across the district especially young generation attended the festival at day-1 and about 200 participated in the rafting trip from Premnagar Shibnote to Karara.
 
The DC Doda alongwith SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, other Officers and Media persons enjoyed the Rafting. Whole festival is being supervised by SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar. Participants also enjoyed ATB ride at the venue.
Besides, it has been informed that same activities shall continue  at the venue till the organisers receive response from the visitors.
It is pertinent to mention here that the whole program of rafting was conducted under strict standards of safety measures and without any incidence the people especially the youth of the district enjoyed the entire event. Media Persons were offered free rafting on the first day of the festival.
 
The participants extended gratitude to the district administration Doda especially DC Doda for taking such innovative initiative as a youth engagement programme in  the district, besides urged to organise such programs in the near future also.
 
SDM Thathri Athar Amin Zargar,  besides senior officers from civil as well as police administration enjoyed the day long festival at Shibnote.
