District Admin hosts Vigilance Awareness Programme, in Doda.
Doda, November 04; As a part of different activities being conducted across the UT during ongoing Vigilance Awareness Week from 31st of October to 6th of November, an awareness/ sensitisation programme was held in Conference Hall of DC office complex Doda.
In the awareness program CPO Anti Corruption Bureau Jammu, Rohit Gupta gave a power point presentation and elaborated in detail the forms, causes and repercussions of Corruption in the society. He also deliberated on various laws and rules dealing with the Corruption and procedures under taken to deal with this menace.
Sh Mushtaq Ahmed SP Anti Corruption Bureau Jammu, discussed the importance of Corruption free society and held that Corruption in any of its forms is impediment in the overall development of system and the society. He elaborated that the theme of this year Vigilance Awareness Week is " Corruption Free India For A Developed Nation.
SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom while briefing the officers on the topic said that Corruption, Nepotism and Favouritism are because of immoral and unethical mindset of some of the public servants. Public servants being part of the society must do their part to eradicate the evil from the society to provide better and prosperous future to their future generations.
DDC Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan in his concluding address pointed out that Corruption erodes the trust of the public on government machinery. It also wastes our taxes and brings inflation on basic necessities. He urged all the DVOs to keep vigil on the subordinate staff and asked to install if possible, CCTV cameras in all the government offices.
Programme was officiated by District Vigilance Officer (ADC) Doda Dr Ravi Kumar Bharti and team of ACB Jammu headed by Mushtaq Ahmed SP ACB. The programme was attended by ADC Bhaderwah, ACR Doda, SDM Thathri, SDM, Assar, ACD Doda, DTO Doda, DYSSO Doda, ARTO Doda, CEO Doda, CAHO Doda, and other District and sectoral Officers.
