Four day Residential Training of Level 3 going on in Jammu and Kashmir.
Anantnag 26: A 4 days residential training program organised by Vivekananda Global University (Bagaria Education Trust) under Jal Jeevan Mission for district Anantnag from 24th to 27th Nov is going on at JKTDC convention center Pahalgam. More than 62 participants from all across the district are participating which include panchs, sarpanchs, pani samiti members, panchayat secretaries, AWW, and Anganwadi workers.
Wide variety of issues like challenges for supply of drinking water, Role and responsibilities of panchs and sarpanch's, Pani samiti's, Gram Panchayat's in JJM, water supply system at village level, various IEC for key stakeholders, source sustainability, implementation of village action plan and much importantly knowledge on water supply processes and mapping was imparted.
"This is indeed a wonderful initiative and I personally thank Vivekananda Global University for coming to valley and organizing such a knowledge laden event", said SE, Jal Shakti Hydraulic Ghulam Mohammad Hajam, who attended the inaugural event Mr. Rouf, from JJM, Srinagar also graced the occasion. Being the KRC (knowledge resource centre) Vivekananda Global University efforts were to inculcate sense of responsibility and care regarding our water resources. "We should definitely now try to propagate this message as far as our reach is concerned so that everyone in our reach listens this useful message and spread more" said Shabeena Choudhary, sarpanch from Nipora Anantnag who attended the event as participant.
JJM has presently covered almost the entire area of district Anantnag and is catering to the needs of almost every households in the district.
