THE CONTINUOUS EFFORTS OF KULGAM POLICE AGAINST DRUGS;ARRESTED ONE MORE DRUG PEDDLER AND RECOVERED CONTRABAND SUBSTANCE

Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and taking stringent actions against Drug Peddlers, Kulgam Police has arrested one more Drug Peddler and recovered Contraband Substance from his possession.

A Naka was established by the Police Party led by SHO Police Station DH Pora at *Yaroo Watigam Crossing* and during the checking, one pedestrian namely; *Mohd Altaf Mir S/O Abdul Ahad Mir R/O Watigam* after noticing police party tried to flee away from the spot. But the Police Party chased him and apprehended him tactfully. During his personal search, *112 grams* of *Charas* like contraband substance was recovered from his possession .Regarding the incident, Case with FIR No. 05/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act in *Police Station DH Pora* stands registered and further investigation is in progress.The Strict & legal actions against Drug Peddlers will continue in future as well. People are requested to co-operate with Police in eliminating the Drug menace from the society.
