Doda, March 02; The District Administration Doda is continuing its efforts to make available best medical practitioners in the district for the consultation and treatment of those who are unable to reach to the tertiary care and super-specialty hospitals for their treatment.
Today, the OPDs of Dr. Ajay Wakhloo, famous Gynaecologist, Dr Neeraj Mahajan famous Cardiologist, Dr Deepak Pathania Nephrologist, Dr Vipul Gupta Brain and Spine Surgeon, Dr Bhumika Gupta Vesicular Surgeon, were held at OPD Block of Associated Hospital GMC Doda under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The doctors also conducted surgeries of some critical patients who otherwise were to be referred to the tertiary care hospitals. The free Super-Specialty medical camp was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan along with Principal GMC Doda Dr Puja Vimesh, Dr Ajay Wakhloo, Director Ankur Maitrika Hospital in the presence of ADC Doda Dr R K Bharti, CMO Doda Dr Hamid Zargar and senior faculty members and visiting doctors.
Director Ankur Maitrika Hospital Jammu, Dr Ajay Wakhloo, has assured Deputy Commissioner Doda to start a free tele consultation for advanced consultation of the patients hailing from the District.
DC instructed that the OPD tickets shall be made available online very soon at the Adbhut Doda portal for the convenience of the visiting patients at OPD and to avoid the rush at the ticket counter during the peak hours.
It is pertinent to mention here that a similar kind of free medical/ consultation camp was also held successfully in the month of January this year. Recieving the huge response and review from the patients, the administration decided to conduct the multi Super-Specialty camp today. It has been reported that such medical camps by senior doctors shall continue in the district in the future for patient care.
DC Doda also interacted with the patients and has asked the GMC authorities to propose heating system for the wards under Capex Budget as Doda sees a severe winter. He urged the public to register for and take advantage of various health schemes. He urged them to register for AB-PM JAY-SEHAT Scheme to get free medical treatment at government hospitals and in the empanelled private hospitals up to 5 lakh rupees annually. He also said that ABHA or Health ID or ABHA Card is a unique identity or health locker to receive, store & share medical records from health service providers for reference with the user’s consent, and everyone must generate ABHA number and Card. Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner Doda said that the Government of UT and District Administration is committed to provide better and quality healthcare services to the public in the district. The manpower, infrastructure, and machinery are being augmented in the newly established GMC Doda to meet out the health care demand of the area. He further informed that the health department has started tele consultation services under the e-Sanjeevni scheme, and the contact numbers are already in circulation. He advised the public to take maximum advantage of tele consultation services, ABHA ID, and AB-PM JAY-SEHAT Scheme.
