DEO receives EVMs & VVPATs in Doda 

Doda, May 07; The Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and VVPATs arrived today at  Doda  in the presence of District Election Officer (DEO) Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan.

ADC, ACR, Dy Election Officer, Nodal Officer EVM-VVPAT, Senior officials, and representatives of various political parties remained present on the occasion.
 
The allocation of Ballot Units, Control Units and VVPATs are for three assembly segments of the district. 
 
The DEO Doda briefed the political representatives about the process and assured them that all necessary arrangements will be put in place to ensure upcoming elections in free and transparent manner.
 
He said after the proper checking and scrutiny, EVMs shall be shifted to dedicated strong rooms.

He stressed on the parameters of ECI for storage of EVM/VVPATs including CCTV and deployment of the sufficient number of police personnel for maintenance of law and order.
