DODA POLICE ORGANIZED A DEBATE COMPETITION IN THE MEMORY OF POLICE MARTYRS
As a part of series of event in the memory of Police martyrs to observe “Police Commemoration Day" Doda Police organized a debate competition at District Police Lines Doda on the topic "ROLE OF POLICE IN NATION BUILDING” in which students of different Schools from Doda town participated. The programme was organized by Sh. Shakeel Rehman-JKPS, Addl. SP Hqrs Doda under the guidance of Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, SSP Doda. The purpose of organizing the programme is to pay homage to the Police martyrs who have given their today for our tomorrow besides, inculcating the spirit and energy of the young people towards positive and creative things and to ensure our generation may not indulge in drugs, crimes or any kind of anti social or anti national activities besides preparing the young generation for shouldering the responsibilities in a very efficient manner.
On this occasion, Sh. Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, SSP Doda delivered an impressive lecture to the participants and remembered the sacrifices of Police martyrs. A rich homage was paid to the Police martyrs who have laid down their lives for the integrity and sovereignty of the nation. Adding further, SSP Doda said that it is because of the sacrifices of our Police martyrs, we got peace back and are living in peaceful atmosphere. SSP Doda emphasized upon the participating students to devote their time towards studies and take parte in sports also to remain physically fit and healthy. The participating students also delivered speeches on the given topic and the students who were adjudged as 1st , 2nd and 3rd are (1) Snober Jann of Green Model Hr. Secondary School Doda, (2) Atifa Zaffer of Chenab Valley High School Doda and (3) Asma Shoket of Shaheen Public Hr. Secondary School were given cash prize and certificate whereas certificate of participation were given to other participating students. The programme concluded with refreshment to the students and other participants.
Doda Police has been organizing number of public friendly programmes and other activities under Civic Action Programme (CAP) as an effort to bridge the gape between the Police and public besides an awareness against drug abuse, traffic violation, cyber crime awareness.
