GMC Doda celebrated World Breast Feedingweek 

The Department of Community Medicine GMC Doda under the guidance of worthy principal Dr(Prof) Rakesh Bahl  today observed world Breastfeeding week 2024 under the theme “ Closing the gap” breastfeeding support for all. “Breastfeeding is not merely a maternal responsibility; it is a public health imperative. By fostering a community of well-informed mothers, we are not only promoting the well-being of our children but also strengthening the health of our society as a whole," stated the HOD  Community Medicine Dr Suresh K Kotwal while addressing the inaugural session of the programme.

During the event various range of activities including poster presentations, symposium and PowerPoint presentations by Prefinal MBBS Students were performed.

During week long celebration various kind of activities in the form awareness generation, community participation, field visits were conducted in field practice area ( UHTC Ghat and RHTC Bhalla) of Community Medicine. 

At the end of the session HODs and Faculties from the department of Biochemistry, pharmacology, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, Paediatrics, Dentistry shared their feedback and appreciated the performance of students and and the efforts of the Community Medicine for conducting such CMEs since the inception of college.
