Indian Army on Friday reached Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu after the fourth Tawi Bridge suffered damage due to heavy rains, disrupting smooth vehicular movement.
As per Reports that Army engineers have been deployed at the site to carry out urgent repair work aimed at restoring connectivity. The bridge, which is a key link for traffic in the city, had developed cracks following continuous downpours in the region.
They said the Army teams, along with local authorities, are working on war footing to stabilize the structure and ensure safe passage for vehicles at the earliest.
Meanwhile, traffic diversions have been put in place to manage congestion until the bridge is fully operational again.
