DIGP DKR RANGE, DC AND SSP DODA HELD A  PEACE COMMITTEE  MEETING WITH BEOPAR MANDAL, TRANSPORT ASSOCIATION AND PROMINENT CITIZENS  OF DODA

Sept. 13, 2025, 

The Dy Inspector General of Police, DKR Range, Sh. Shridhar Patil IPS, along with Deputy Commissioner Doda, Sh. Harvinder Singh IAS, and SSP Doda, Sh. Sandeep Kumar Mehta JKPS*, held  a meeting with over 30 representatives from Beopar Mandal, Transport Association and prominent citizens of Doda, at District Police Office, Doda. The discussion was mainly focused on the various issues pertaining to restoring peace. 

Representatives of Beopar Mandal, transport association and others who  assured their active cooperation to the administration in maintaining public order and requested for lifting of restrictions imposed under section 163 BNSS, so that Govt./ public business establishments may run  smoothly and general public may not suffer. They highlighted that in the recent  devasting situation occurred due to floods, landslides in the district, huge loss of life and property of the general public has taken place and additionally, from the last few days, people are suffering a lot due to suspension of internet services , closure of markets and other business activities in the district. They requested for immediate restoration of services, transport facilities, opening of schools and market and assured to extend their active support and cooperation to administration in bringing the situation to normalcy.  
     
While addressing the participants, Dy Commissioner Doda Sh Harvinder Singh IAS assured the participants to resolve all the issues of the public on priority basis to ensure supply of essential commodities for Doda and Kishtwar without interruption.  

SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Kumar Mehta JKPS,  exhorted upon the  participants to keep eye on the miscreants who are hell bent to disrupt the peace full situation of the district for which we all have to take responsibility to maintain law and order.  

The DIGP DKR range Sh Shridhar Patil IPS, highly commended the role and support of general public of Doda including all stake holders, in maintaining peace and law and order in the district despite of attempts of miscreants to create the unrest not in the district but whole of UT of J&K, People of Doda have set an example of maintaining peace and communal harmony, he added. The DIGP stressed upon the participants particularly business community to activate the CCTV cameras and ensure their functionality so that activities of trouble creators could be monitored. He sought cooperation and responsibility of transport association, shopkeepers to keep an eye on miscreants trouble creators which include sensitization of drivers, laborers, workers etc connected with the business activities.The DIGP DKR Range, assured the participants that restrictions would be progressively eased out starting immediately. The reopening of shops in the market, resumption of transport services, restoration of calling facilities, broadband and mobile internet services and the reopening of schools will be carried out in a phased manner after assessing the ground situation.The DIGP DKR range in his concluding address , stress upon the participants  to remain in constant touch with the administration and help the administration in bringing the situation towards normalcy which is the priority of the administration.  Among others, Addl. DC Doda, Addl. SP Hqrs Doda, Dy. SP Hqrs. DODA , SO to DIGP DKR range, ACR Doda and SHO PS Doda were also present in the meeting.
