Historic Shaheed-e-Azam Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk Inaugurated in Doda

Doda, 23 September 2025:
For the first time in Doda’s history, a landmark honoring the legendary revolutionary was established with the inauguration of Shaheed-e-Azam Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk at Zero Point, Parmaz Road Chowk. The initiative, led by the NSS Cultural Society and TLR Media Network, was held to commemorate the 118th Birth Anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

Sulinder Parihar Sarazi, Director of NSS Cultural Society and CMD of TLR Media Network, in his remarks said

"This chowk stands as a tribute to the sacrifices of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, whose struggle gave us freedom. We dedicate this to his memory on his 118th birth anniversary."

Mukesh Parihar Sarazi, Chairman JKLCU & Former AISF J&K President, stated:
"Bhagat Singh’s ideas remain more relevant than ever. Today’s youth, especially in Doda, must learn from his vision and fearlessness."

Former Sarpanch Sadeek Ahmed expressed:
"The sacrifices made by Shaheed Bhagat Singh are immortal and continue to inspire us all."

Former Councillor Romesh Kumar added:
"We cannot forget Bhagat Singh’s contributions. I congratulate NSS Cultural Society and TLR Media Network for this noble initiative."

Sharing his perspective, Javid Ahmed, a youth from Doda, said:
"Bhagat Singh’s life is an example of true patriotism. His courage must guide today’s young generation."

From the local trade community, Salad Khan, a shopkeeper from Doda, remarked:
"We feel honored that this chowk has been named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh. It reflects the people’s respect and love for him."

The inauguration was attended by civil society members, youth, and local residents, reflecting the collective admiration of Doda for one of India’s greatest revolutionaries.
