Kupwara: The 162 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a free blood donation camp at DPL Kupwara under the Civic Action Programme on the occasion of the 87th Raising Day of CRPF.
The camp was inaugurated by Commandant Shri Krishna Singh. During the inaugural function, Deputy Commandant Ashu Mali, Deputy Commandant C.K. Roy, CRPF doctors, and other officers were also present.
A large number of CRPF jawans and civilians voluntarily participated in the camp and donated blood. The initiative aimed to strengthen blood banks and support patients in need of blood during medical emergencies.
The organizers highlighted that such humanitarian initiatives are important for the welfare of society and help address health issues faced by people requiring blood transfusions.
Officials said the camp reflects CRPF’s commitment not only to national security but also to public service and community welfare.
The blood donation camp was held in close coordination with Government Medical College Handwara and Kupwara health authorities to ensure proper medical supervision and safe collection of blood for patients in need, along with the best technical support provided by the medical team.
