Kupwara/13/March:> Dr Javaid Ahmad Bhat (MBBS, MD Paediatrics) stands as a shining example of dedication, expertise, and service. Currently leading the Department of Paediatrics at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Kupwara, he has devoted his life to ensuring the health and well-being of children in his community.
Starting his career as Registrar at Children’s Hospital Bemina Srinagar, Dr Bhat gained invaluable experience treating pediatric cases. His pursuit of excellence took him to the global stage, serving as Consultant in Emergency Paediatrics at Princess Nourah Hospital, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia—affiliated with the world’s largest women’s university—where he handled complex cases with skill and compassion.
In India, Dr Bhat served as Consultant Paediatrician at top-tier institutions like B. L. Kapoor Hospital, New Delhi, and Aastha Superspeciality Hospital, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. He also contributed as Visiting Consultant at Noora Hospital and New City Hospital Srinagar, and as a Medical Officer with MSF Holland (Médecins Sans Frontières), providing essential humanitarian medical services.
His excellence has been recognized with multiple national awards and two prestigious international honors—one from Saudi Arabia and another from MSF Holland—highlighting his outstanding contributions to pediatric healthcare.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Bhat has made remarkable academic contributions, publishing international research articles in paediatrics and authoring the book “Urinary Tract Infections in Children.”
