SSP Doda Holds Meeting with Retired Police Officers, Focuses on Welfare and Grievance Redressal
In a dedicated effort to address the welfare and concerns of retired police personnel, *SSP Doda, Sh. Sandeep Mehta-JKPS*, convened a meeting with retired police officers and officials in the office chamber of SSP Doda. The primary objective was to ensure that retirees remain connected to the police organization and are well-informed about the welfare measures available to them.
SSP Doda warmly welcomed the participants, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their years of dedicated service. more than 30 retired police officer/ Officials participated in the meeting. He assured the gathering that the police department remains committed to their well-being and emphasized that they are still valued members of the police family. SSP Doda encouraged the retirees to approach any officer or unit whenever in need and welcomed their suggestions, acknowledging the deep respect and appreciation the department holds for their contributions.
During the meeting, various welfare initiatives for retired personnel and their families were highlighted, with encouragement to take full advantage of the available support systems. The retired officers also raised their issues and concerns, to which SSP Doda provided a patient hearing. He assured them that their grievances issues would be promptly forwarded to the appropriate authorities for resolution.
SSP appealed the retired cops to provide valuable inputs from their respective areas with regard to any anticipated crime or law and order, so that corrective measures are taken in advance and crime is prevented.
The meeting was also attended by Addl. SP Doda Sh. Mohd Aslam and DySP Hqrs Doda Sh. Ajay Anand. The session concluded with a vote of thanks and a commitment to regularly organize such meetings in the future, ensuring continued engagement with retired personnel and timely redressal of their concerns.
