Shaheen Educational Trust Doda, in Collaboration with District Administration, Organises Mega Celebration of “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” at Sports Stadium Doda
Doda, November 01:- Shaheen Educational Trust, Doda, in collaboration with District Administration Doda, organised a grand event to celebrate Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) at Sports Stadium Doda on the birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The event witnessed a historic and patriotic display as 3,000 lamps were lit symbolising unity, peace and national integrity.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh. Harvinder Singh (IAS) and SSP Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta (JKPS). A magnificent Tiranga (Tricolour) was formed by the lamps, illuminated jointly by DC Doda, SSP Doda, ADC Doda, ACD Doda, Officers of 10 RR, senior officials and representatives from the Chamber of Commerce & Industries Doda, marking the grand celebration of national unity.
Chairman of Shaheen Educational Trust and Managing Director of Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School Doda, Mr. Hafizullah Khurwani, expressed gratitude to all dignitaries and emphasised the pivotal role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in unifying the nation. He reiterated the message of unity, patriotism and collective responsibility in strengthening India.
This unique celebration marks the first-ever event in Jammu & Kashmir by a private organisation from Doda to light thousands of lamps in honour of National Unity Day.
Students from Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School Doda, students from other institutions, and PariShaw learners enthusiastically participated. School staff creatively painted each lamp in Tricolour shades and arranged them in a beautiful formation, symbolising national pride.
DC Doda and SSP Doda highlighted Sardar Patel’s tremendous contribution in uniting India and called upon students and citizens to remain committed to nation-building, unity, and social harmony. They encouraged youth to contribute actively to society and work collectively towards making India a developed nation.
Mr. Hafizullah Khurwani Chairman Shaheen Educational Trust & MD Shaheen Public Higher Secondary School Doda extended heartfelt thanks to all Officers, officials, participating schools, volunteers and the public. He urged people from all communities to stand united, rise above barriers of religion, caste, gender and region, and work together for a progressive and developed India, free from social evils.
