Workshop on Fundamentals of Journalism Held at Government Degree College, Doda

Doda, 12,Tue,Nov : A one-day workshop on the Fundamentals of Journalism was organized today by the TLR Media Network at Government Degree College (GDC) Doda. This workshop offered insightful sessions from notable speakers who shared their expertise with participating students and attendees from outside the college.
Sulinder Parihar Sarazi, Founder and Chief Managing Director of TLR Media Network and an alumnus of GDC Doda, led the workshop with a focus on mobile journalism, editing techniques, and thumbnail creation. He also conducted an interactive Q&A session answering students' questions on various aspects of journalism.
Assistant Professor Dr Jamsheed Ahmed emphasized the critical role of interaction between the media and the public, advocating for the creation of a well-informed society. Vikram Singh Thakur, Managing Director of JK Darshan highlighted the importance of storytelling and factual accuracy in journalism underscoring the value of truth in reporting.
Farid Ahmed Naik, Executive Editor of The Chenab Times, discussed essential skills for anchoring in journalism, while Naeem-ul-Haq Wani, Redressal Officer at The Chenab Times, provided insights into effective reporting techniques.
The workshop was attended by a large number of GDC Doda students from various departments, along with several external participants eager to gain foundational knowledge in journalism.
The Chief Guest of the event was Prof Mansa Ram Vice Principal of GDC Doda, while the Guest of Honor was Dr Jamsheed Ahmed.
Other faculty members of the college were also in attendance.
The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, leaving attendees equipped with valuable foundational skills in journalism.
