DODA POLICE ARRESTED TWO DRUG PEDDLERS — 12 GRAMS HEROIN-LIKE SUBSTANCE RECOVERED; VEHICLE SEIZED

Doda, November 17:

In its continued crackdown on drug trafficking and peddling activities, Doda Police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 12 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance (chitta) from their possession.

Acting on the directions of *SSP Doda,* Police Station Doda had established a special naka at Janota Paryote. During routine checking, a dumper (JK06B-4261) travelling from Khellani towards Doda was intercepted.

The naka operation was led by SHO Police Station Doda, assisted by IC PP Pul Doda. 

During the personal search of the vehicle occupants: Mubashir Hussain, S/O Mohd Sharief Wani, R/O Koti Basti, Doda *(Driver)* Manzoor Ahmed, S/O Ali Mohd, R/O Gudna, Tehsil Gudna, District Doda *(Co-passenger)*

Police recovered a total of *12 grams* of heroin-like substance, comprising: *5 grams from the driver* *7 grams from the co-passenger*

Both accused were arrested on the spot, and the vehicle used in the commission of the offence was seized. In this regard, FIR No. 259/ 2025 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Doda. Further investigation is in progress.

Doda Police reiterates its firm resolve to eradicate the drug menace from the district and urges citizens to share any actionable information regarding narcotic activities, assuring that the identity of informants will remain strictly confidential.
