Employees leadership led by Senior Trade Union Leader, Mr Syed Ghulam Rasool Geelani calls on Honourable Minister Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Mr. Javed Ahmed Rana and Director Department of Social Forestry J&K Shri Suresh Buxy (IFS) at Jammu.

Srinagar 12 Dec:  A high level delegation of J&K Social Forestry Employees Association, an affliated unit of Trade Union Coordination Centre (TUCC) headed by Senior Trade Union Leader and State President J&K Social Forestry Employees Association Mr Syed Ghulam Rasool Geelani along with provincial President Jammu Shri Raj Singh Pawar and General Secretary Shri Mohammad Iqbal Ganai. The delegation was accompanied by Senior leaders of the associations including Shri. Hardave Singh Chib, Secretary Naseer Ahmad Wani, Zahoor Ahmad Wani, Bashir Ahmad Jamshi, Abdul Ahad, Satpal Sharma and others. While deleberating and discussing on the genuine burning issues of the employees Syed Ghulam Rasool Geelani ,President Social Forestry Employees Association, President Trade Union Coordination Center (TUCC) congratulated both the dignitaries seperately.

Mr Geelani extended his best wishes to Mr Javid Ahmad Rana on being given the portfolio of the department and to Suneesh Buxy Ji on being elevated and appointed as  Director Department of Social Forestry J&K.

While discussing the issues, Geelani impressed upon the  Honourable Minister and Director department of Social Forestry J&K to personally intervene in these genuine long pending issues for the early settlement all the  genuine issues esp. Ammendments in the recruitment rules of the department to create promotionary avenues and other benefits for the employees. The delegation also raised the issue of holding of DPC meetings regularly in the department to clear all the pending promotions. Mr. Geelani also highlighted the need for repairing/renovation of old closures/units for the safeguard of plantations for the greater cause of conservation of the Environment.  He also demanded immediate release of time bound areas and handover of old and mature clauses to the teritorial wing of the Forest Department. Honorable Minister Sh. Javid Ahmad Rana and Director Social Forestry listened the demands quiet patiently and assured the leadership for the early settlement and sought comments from the concerned officers for which union leaders appreciated the positive role of the Honorable Minister and HoD of the department.
