The Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament for the year 2025-26, organized by the Youth Services and Sports Department, entered its second day with remarkable enthusiasm and energy. The event, guided by the vision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Doda, Pritam Singh, is being conducted under the overall supervision of I/c Zonal Physical Education Officer Doda, Vijay Manhas.
The tournament, exclusively for girls in the Under-14 and Under-17 age groups, features competitions in Athletics, Kho-Kho, and Cricket. The Zone Doda tournament witnessed spirited participation from various schools, with students demonstrating exemplary sportsmanship and competitive zeal. The athletics and kho-kho matches showcased remarkable energy and teamwork, while the cricket matches reflected strategic play and coordination.
The event was graced by the presence of the Zonal Physical Education Officer and the Activity Incharge, who not only oversaw the seamless execution of the activities but also delivered an inspiring message. They urged the young participants to stay away from drugs and harmful substances, emphasizing the importance of adopting sports and physical fitness for a healthier and more vibrant life.
The primary objective of the tournament is to channel the energy of young girls into positive and meaningful activities, fostering their growth as responsible, confident, and health-conscious individuals. Approximately 250 girls participated in the events, exhibiting tremendous enthusiasm and dedication. The tournament concluded on a positive note, with encouragement for all participants to strive for excellence and uphold the core values of health, discipline, and teamwork.
