NSS Proposes Naming of Bhagat Singh Chowk in Doda

Doda,  Sulinder Parihar, Director of NSS, along with Koshal Singh, Youth President of Tejas Ek Pahal Foundation NGO, and NSS team members Sahil Pandit, Simran Sharma, and Amarjeet Singh, recently met with the Deputy Commissioner of Doda Sh.Harvinder Singh IAS to propose naming the starting point of Parmaz Road Doda, near the Home Guard Line, as "Bhagat Singh Chowk."

The initiative aims to honor the legacy of Bhagat Singh, a revered freedom fighter and national icon. The proposal also includes the installation of a statue of Bhagat Singh at the designated site, further commemorating his contributions to India's independence movement.

Parihar emphasized the importance of recognizing historical figures who inspire youth and foster patriotism in the community. The team believes that this initiative will not only enhance local heritage but also encourage civic pride among residents.

The Deputy Commissioner Doda expressed appreciation for the proposal and assured the team of his support in facilitating the necessary processes for this significant endeavor.
