Kupwara, December 21:
The Block Medical Officer (BMO) Sogam, Dr. Javid Rasool Shah, has appealed to the people of Lolab Valley in Kupwara district to ensure the participation of all children up to five years of age in the Pulse Polio Immunization Programme scheduled for Sunday, December 21.
Dr. Shah stated that all arrangements for the successful implementation of the Pulse Polio drive in Lolab Valley have been finalized. He informed that sufficient stocks of polio vaccine have been supplied to all centres and polio booths have been established in every village, mohalla, and street to ensure easy access for the public.
He urged parents and guardians to cooperate fully with ASHA workers, NHM staff, Anganwadi workers, and other health functionaries deployed on duty, so that every eligible child receives the mandatory two drops of polio vaccine.
Dr. Shah emphasized that collective public support is crucial to keep the region polio-free and to safeguard the health and future of children.
